Freight tender
The core of our service is the optimization of your freight costs by means of a tender carried out by us. The remuneration is 100% variable according to success - only if a saving has been achieved, we write an invoice.
Do you know the amount of your freight costs? How often do you check your transport conditions? It is not uncommon for freight costs to make up the largest cost block within logistics costs and should therefore be reviewed regularly. We support you in professional freight cost management from A to Z. Our freight management services range from classic freight tendering and invoice auditing to benchmarking and the review of price adjustments by your transport service providers. Away from this, we also offer other consulting services.
Are you facing problems in your supply chain? Shortages of raw materials and components, the need for warehouse space due to safety stock, disruptions in the transportation market - we know not only what's bothering the industry, but also why the crisis can be an opportunity. Find out how Chaindson can help in this video from our Sales & Business Development Manager Lars Angemeer.
With a freight invoice audit of the last 12 months, incorrect invoices are reliably identified and documented. This enables our customers to complain about unjustified invoice components to their transport service providers, even for freight invoices that have already been paid, and to request a corresponding credit note.
The pre-audit process aims to check freight invoices before payment is released and thus avoid overpayment of unjustified cost items. Comprehensive software support is used to establish a 100% freight invoice audit. Within the framework of complaints management, we seek direct contact with the forwarders in order to bring about a direct clarification of the facts. In this way, we not only avoid additional costs due to incorrect invoicing, but at the same time completely free our own staff from the time-consuming activity of checking invoices.
A transport tender without an upstream benchmark can represent a risk for the freight-paying company. This is because if the existing service provider is already the best-price provider, there is a risk that the latter will increase its rates as part of the tender. In order to minimize the risk, we recommend getting an overview of the current market situation beforehand. Our customers benefit from our network and our experience: Access to our extensive freight database as well as to a pool of more than 20,000 forwarders and haulage companies, combined with the long-standing know-how of our freight management experts, guarantees you an optimal benchmark result. We also attach great importance to taking your qualitative requirements into account in order to make the rates comparable. We will be happy to provide you with an individual offer for this purpose.
Various factors such as the Corona pandemic, the war in Ukraine or the newly adopted EU mobility package can always lead to shifting cost structures in many areas of global supply chains: Fuel costs are rising, delivery times are lengthening, load carriers are in short supply, and driver shortages are also becoming increasingly severe. Some carriers are finding themselves forced to renegotiate agreed prices with their customers due to rising costs. In the course of this, many customers are faced with the question of whether the announced or enforced price adjustments of the service providers are plausible. With the help of our numerous tariff structures as well as the networks available to us, we are happy to check the price adjustments of the service providers and also support you in possible renegotiations.
